If you are responsible for a lot of systems, and those systems have been given names that are as cryptic as the ones that I look after, you might find my latest project useful...

Nooleus is a simple to use tool that allows you to quickly create diagrams of your infrastructure (databases, listeners, servers, etc.), and then create links from the items in those diagrams to the tools and documentation that you use to manage them.

The idea is that you use it as a launch-pad for everything you do. So, the diagram reminds you how everything fits together - clicking on the items in the diagram gives you access to the docs and tools that you need.

I've designed it to be as flexible and easy to use as possible. It has a library of over 90 predefined 3D objects including servers, databases, listeners, etc.

All of the objects, and even the pages themselves, move with inertia. This enables them to be grabbed and thrown to aid quick navigation (you'll have to try it to see what I mean). You can also zoom in and out of the pages allowing large diagrams containing hundreds of objects to be created.

It works with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. Enjoy...
